Tyler Grossnickle

New to the Business Agent

A lifelong remodeler himself, Tyler Grossnickle grew up in a real estate family. He remembers the time as a boy where he fell asleep after school on the floor of a house his parents were working on to "flip".

A few years and several occupations later, Tyler had an epiphany: "Why not put my passion for houses to work helping others?"

After earning his real estate license, Tyler explored many options, including working for new homebuilders. But when every company talked about how they compared with Allen Tate, he decided there had to be a reason for that.

He chose the Allen Tate Mooresville office because it was a smaller office with a family atmosphere where the numbers spoke for themselves.

"When I walked into other firms," Tyler recalls, "everyone was by themselves; for themselves. In our office, there is a genuine desire to help each other. I get to learn from the experience and expertise of the agents here, and then share what I know about social platforms, online tools, time management, and how to import information or get electronic signatures."

"I knew about houses and was adept at technology, but needed to learn how to be a good agent. I felt like Allen Tate's tools and resources such as Accelerate and Institute 2.0 were key to starting my business. You can have your independence, yet hand-holding is available. The willingness of everyone in my office to help was exactly what I needed."

Tyler thrives in the variety of his days. He still remodels, so you might find him in painter's pants and a tool belt in the morning, then in a suit and tie for the rest of the afternoon. His remodeling experience proves helpful to his clients, offering insight as to which flaws and issues can be easily remedied.

His favorite part of his job?

"Helping people is the best. I love helping people, in large ways; in small ways. It's the best aspect of being a Realtor."
