We'd like you to meet:
Phyllis York Brookshire
President - Allen Tate Realtors
Intense concentration and precision steps mark her hobby - so her work receives no less from Phyllis York Brookshire. As president of Allen Tate Realtors, she oversees operations for residential real estate services throughout the Carolinas. Phyllis tackles the daily challenges of her role with focus, dedication, a can-do attitude and quick wit. She was named Realtor of the Year 2011 by the Raleigh Regional Association of Realtors and was inducted into the RRAR Hall of Fame in 2016.
A native of Raleigh and a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Phyllis began her career in real estate while attending UNC as a Morehead Scholar. She later helped establish and grow the residential real estate division for her family's company where she served as vice president and chief operating officer until 2006.
When she's not helping her leadership team manage new initiatives or working one-on-one with Realtors to grow their business you can find her training - in the ring. She's a multi-titled World Champion equestrienne where her precision, concentration, dedication and quest for perfection serve her well.
But it's not all work and play with Phyllis. She's committed to community service and currently serves on the board of advisors for the Visual Art Exchange and the board of directors for the Realtor Foundation of Wake County. Her past community service includes president and director of the Raleigh Regional Association of Realtors; dean of the Triangle Realtors Leadership Academy; board of directors of the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce; director for the Triangle United Way; chairman of the board of directors of the J.C. Raulston Arboretum at North Carolina State University; and first vice president for the American Saddlebred Museum in Lexington, Kentucky.
You can also find Phyllis watching ACC sports - and enjoying an ice-cold glass of sweet tea with her husband, Don.
